I still think the monster is too powerful. Think again of just 2 of them, and what horrible things you could do with them.
Right now, it has no disadvantage. Every other monster has one. Well, except the Slayer, but he's not really a monster.
Roaches, Roach Queens, spiders, babies, evil eyes-walls stop them, and they won't go around them (stupidity)
Wraithwings-cowards when alone.
Seeps-floors stop them.
Serpents/rattlesnakes-can't move diagonally.
Rock Golems/Wubbas-can't cut corners.
Goblins-minor disadvantage, but can be led to death.
Tar/mud-can't kill Beethro.
Brains/mothers-Stationary
Guards-the wait key (along with some other tactics.)
As this monster has no disadvantage, it is far too powerful.
I would suggest that the monster MUST move X spaces per turn, roachstyle, but that if it lands on something that is not either a floor square (styles of floor okay), open door, or trapdoor, that it dies. Other monsters, orbs, walls, pits, etc.
I'd also say that going through a space containing a weapon would kill it, but can go through non-pointy things. I'd also say that it has to land directly on Beethro to kill him.
I'm still not sure if I'd be for the monster with these ideas, mainly due to implementation reasons, along with "
where'll they move?"
, but I'd be more in favor when it has a disadvantage of some sort.
