So, how do you get into the hall of fame at the moment? The instructions on the site tell you to send your player.cfg to crystalshard but there are no further instructions.

The contact link on the site takes me to Radiant's forum profile but there's no way to send any files from there.

Anyway, I think I'll improve a bit more before I send my pathetic rank IV file

Also, will you do anything to the 9999 score levels if I send my scores? They kind of mess the whole score... (I have one of those at the moment)

Ah yes. Because I've been getting excessive amounts of spam in the past, I prefer not to divulge my e-mail address. Since apparently, forum private messages do not allow attachments, it would be easiest to post it in the regular forum as an attachment. I'll take it from there.

Oh and yes, any 'infinite' scores (well, 9999 is pretty close to infinity, no? ) will be cut down to a sensible amount. And the level in which they're made will be changed in a future release to prevent that.

PPKK, 115892/96/65, rank VII (where can I get the forgotten rank hints? I am not ready to repeat all levels for this one reason only!).

So, what determines one's rank?

I'm rank III with 60/26 solved and a score of 64392. That's more levels overall and more score than Maarten Koornneef, who'se on the highscores with rank IV. So it may be levels mastered, but then Zozo with 43 mastered is a lower rank than Camaj with 34 mastered.

So I'm guessing there's some sort of weighted formula here, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what it is.

I think it's simply:
levels solved on easy + levels solved on hard

Eytanz's rank 60/26 adds to 86 while Maarten Koornneef has 57/36 that adds to 93.

Also, Zozo has 70/43 (113) but Camaj has greater rank because 102/34 adds to 136.

Ah, that makes sense.

Note that the formula would actually be Easy solutions + 2 * Hard solutions since the first number includes the hard solutions.

All I know is that to get ultimate you have to master all the levels Then it's sorted by score.

"101/89" is read "101 levels solved, 89 levels mastered". So that's 101-89 = 12 levels "only" solved.

After I got about halfway through, I've mostly been just playing through on Hard since that gives me credit for the Easy solution as well.

Even if Easy Mode is on, if you...

-Pass the red exit
-Met the (HARD) gem quota
-Beat it before your time bonus ran out

You will master the level instead of solve it.

I was making a level, and I opened my Data file. Inside there were the demos of lots of levels. Now, this is on a different computer than the one I have my puny rank II on. But I seem to have completed all these levels, only it doesn't show up in the menu!
So I'm sending my player.cfg for this computer anyway, even though I don't know whats on it. It might be that it doesn't have any levels completed, which is what the menu shows me (I have not completed any levels on this computer). But it might be an old player.cfg in which case I have a higher rank than before! (NB I can't improve it, anyhow.)

PS Some time ago I asked about rank hints. "Huh?" --- was the response. I meant: when one reaches a new rank, eagly picture appears with some text. I called that text "rank hint" ("mail crystal shard", "there are secret levels" etc.).

Super bump; but it seemed like the best place to ask. I SO need a hint on "Seven Seas of Rhye". Then I can post my Ultimate rank. I would not have believed you could make a puzzle this hard with only two elements (water and rafts).

I've been staring at this puzzle for hours. I even screencapped and photoshopped a snapshot of it so I could work on it in MSpaint (drawing lines and stuff). I attached it here for the collective amusement of the forum I broke it down into 3 chains, access to any of the circled areas will get me to any area on that chain.

Sadly, after many fruitless hours, it hasn't helped. I can get all of them, but then I can't get to the exit; or I can get to the exit, but not get 2 gems. GRR.
