I think it would be great to have the hold name/author on screen when playing a hold.

I often switch between several holds I'm playing.

I suppose the major negative/problem would be where to display the info. And it might make the screen too cluttered for some.

Of course displaying this info could be an option..

Oh. You could put it on that right-click menu.

I'm going to include the hold name at the top of the pop-up stats box.

Along similar lines, would it be possible to have the hold name somewhere on the "Play Game" menu, as that would save the guesswork from going into the game not knowing what hold you are playing.

That would be a welcome feature indeed.

s/Continue Playing Game/Continue Playing "%s"/;
current hold name passed as a parameter to menu option. woo.

actually, that would be a pain for i18n because you'd need 2 messages instead the "continue playing game" (which shows greyed out when you don't have a hold selected) has a different grammar than "continue playing hold 'foobar'" in some other language. so I guess just a little note "current hold: X" at the bottom would be better.
