Now that I am a CaravelNet user, I have an extremely long list of holds on the Hold Select screen, most of which I have not downloaded and (right now) do not wish to. I think it would be much nicer if, perhaps, all the holds stored locally could be listed first, then all the ones on the CaravelNet server. It's a real pain having about 3 holds and having to scroll through a list of 70 each time you want to change them. :)

In fact, a better hold sorting interface would be appreciated - for example if we could create "directories" and put the holds in or move them about. That way, all online hold links could be in a separate directory. And we'd have the option to create separate directories for puzzle holds, artistic holds, tough holds, my holds, holds currently in building etc etc.

I can see some use for bumping holds you have progress on and holds that you can access in the editor to be up at the top of the list and seperated. We want lots of user holds, so we need ome sort of way to seperate them out.

What about if all of the downloadable holds were put on the bottem. I.E. The holds that you hadn't downloaded were on the bottem.

What I was going to suggest on the matter was a checkbox at the bottom that would say "Show imported holds only" to allow you to quickly find a hold without having to scroll through pages of downloadable holds.

Quick solution: bump imported holds to the top.

GOOD solution:

a table with columns like:

Hold Name
Author
Imported (yes/no)
Conquer% (% of required rooms done)
Master% (% of secrets found)
UserRating (x/10 - shows on your new spiffy CaravelNet-enabled list now, when you click on one)
Difficulty (x/10)
NumRooms (number of required rooms)
Size (k/MB)

now enable sort on all the columns.

Thanks, guys, for the tip. I'm gonna get this fix in for an upcoming patch.
GOOD solution:
I'd like to work on some new UI for this in 3.0, but I don't have anything specific planned out yet. This is definitely a good idea to start from.

Old computer at 1980's was facing the same problem of long list of files until they figure to use directories. We should use Windows' feature by creating sub-dir under Homemade or whatever directory to categorize the imported holds.
