When I downloaded the Demo, installed it I found a strange bug. When I want to launch JtrH the screen turned black. After a while I saw a door like thing. Then it turned again black and all crashed with the error Message "VGA Mode not supported". On the Laptop, all works well.

Question : Is this a bug or did I need new drivers for my Graphic Card and my Screen or is Drod incompatible with TFTs ?

Is there a window mode ?!

Help! I downloaded it but the setup said "unable to execute the file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted.
Eror 2. the system cannot find the file specified.

Meckmeck: What kinds of colour modes does your computer support? Is it on 256 colours, 16-bit, or 24-bit when you try and play?

rowrow: I'm not ignoring you, I just don't what what to say other than "you could try downloading it again". We'll get Mike over here, he'll know what to do.

What full screen resolutions are supported by your video card and monitor?

Dunno...let's try to get to the bottom of this.

Is there a window mode ?!

Run the executable (or shortcut) with the command line argument "nofullscreen" to force it to run in windowed mode. Also, one may add "nosound" if they're having problems with sound drivers or something.

When clicking the link to download the game, did you select to save the disk to file or open from the current location? If you selected to open from file, I would suggest that you download it again, but instead of opening, select to save the file to your computer... then run the executable after the download is complete.
It seems, in my thoughts, that the download either really didn't finish or it was corrupted.

Just my thoughts.

32 bit Truecolor. Thanks. I tried the modes you postet. On 16 bit it works. I also imported that player file from my laptop installation which has the full screen option unchecked. Now all works well.

I'm having this same problem too....it doesn't work on 32 bit color?!?!?

You must fix this bug.

In the mean time I will change that or try and force it into window mode.

EDIT: I tried it on 16 bit color, it doesn't work. I can't even put my name in the bar...and the program keeps crashing.

No, it does work in 32-bit color for all the people who have tested it. Hmm...except for one tester, who had an existing problem with their video drivers and monitor that prevented them from using this screen mode.

You must fix this bug.

I'm not sure whether this is a bug yet. First, I need to know what OS, screen resolution, refresh rate, color depth, video card, video driver and monitor you are using.

By me it is the opposite. It works on my pc but not laptop.

OS: Windows XP Pro (no suprise there)

Screen Resolution: Tried it on 1024 x 768 and i'm currently using 1152 x 864

Desktop Refresh Rate: 85Hz
Video Card: SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9600SE

Monitor: Dell P780

I'm not sure I understand. Does this mean that the app did not display anything for you in 1024x768 resolution and it does in 1152x864? Or that you only had a problem in one of these when using full screen mode? Or only had a problem with one of these at a certain color depth?

I had problems on both of those.

on 1028, it showed up but woulnd't let me input anything and was really slow.

on 1154, it doesn't work at all.

Thank God, I got it to work.

A driver update just...did it.

EDIT: and boy, is that game awesome.
