Doesn't seem to happen consistently and I can't figure out how to make it happen for sure, but I've seen it several times.
I was about to post about this too. It seems that the first level complete after installing or patching gets this, and after that, any other level completes are normal through continuous play. Restoring to a stair room start (not a save checkpoint) will also exhibit the bug. For this to be easy to test though, the stair room will have to be the last room visited on a level.
For me
1. Install build 19
2. Complete level 1, Beethro jumps
3. All subsequent levels are normal, I played up almost to the end of level 5 and didn't see (or didn't notice) the bug.
4. Export player & holds, upgrade & import into build 20
5. Upon completing level 5, Beethro jumps
6. All subsequent levels are normal...
Another bug I noticed while investigating this. Switching between save checkpoints in a room doesn't update which rooms have been completed. e.g. in one stair room, I entered it before completing a level, but only used the save checkpoint after doing so. Switching between the room start and the stair room save checkpoint, did not change the display of which rooms have been completed on the minimap.
