Since this is the spot I've designated for discussion of self-modding, I just wanted to give "huzzah!"s to the new commentary that occurs when you try and mod your own posts. Yes, I'm doing the same thing here, mostly because someone said it was offensive to a certain set of people and I thought, heck, I'm one of those people.

www... it's not nearly so funny now.... and as someone who once felt the angst of teenage years, I still found it funny. Oh well, I guess I wont argue with the good sense of not offending the already depressed, however, I doubt that comment would push them over the edge.

Oh well, hopefully you'll find something more amusing to replace it with that isn't offensive. Like:

Okay. Small files can be attached. However, large ones (5.6MB) cannot. Hmm...

Oh, and if you delete an attachment, it sends you to the forum front page. Shouldn't it send you back to the thread instead?

You need to increase both upload_max_filesize and post_max_size in the php config file.

It was a problem with mysql - it has a max_allowed_packet setting, which was set to 1M. I've changed it, and large attachments work for me now. Let me know how it goes.

Actually I've never had a crumpet, I don't know if they're legal in America, because I've never seen them anywhere or heard of anyplace you can find them or known anyone who has had a crumpet, unless they were a Brit. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're shot on sight if you're caught eating, or even in possession of, a crumpet in the United States.

Um, could people stop hijacking the "test" thread for this sort of post? That's what the random thread in the anything forum is for.

It's annoying because this makes me repeatdly visit the Site forum, which I always do because things on it tend to be important, while I keep the anything forum for visits when I have more free time.

It doesn't have anything to do with that, my friend. This particular thread is specifically for testing features of the forum, not for conversation. That's why most posts are something like "testing". There's nothing wrong with a conversation about toast, this is just the wrong thread for it.
