Yes, I am excited too! Even though it's just an arbitrary number, it's still pretty cool. I also note, in my fetish with numbers, that we're getting close to our one thousandth member, although that will probably happen in late February or March.

Since if he would mod me -3, he would do it right away. He only did -1 then hours later -2 then today -3. I guess it is a few users. Everyone is angry at me.

All you have to do is just put them back. Just add 1000 points to your profile. Can't mods do that? I have to earn them.

Actually no, they can't. I was talking to Matt, and he told me that if a mod tries to modify their rank points in any way, up or down, the forum code is written in such a way that it will bombard the user's router with bad packets, making it overheat. The power surge will then send a pulse through the ethernet cable to the computer's network card, overloading the computer. This massive electrical charge will then leave the system through the only available access port: the keyboard.

So you see, Erik can't change his mod points in that way, because he'll die. And that's a bad thing.

On the DROD.net server, my rank point container has a hole in it where all my points leaked out. You read the post I wrote about that, so you probably remember how it happened. Anyhow, I patched up the container with scotch tape as well as I could, but the scotch doesn't adhere very well to plastic, and I'm afraid that any sudden jostling will make it come free and I'll lose all my points again. Definitely depositing a large amount of rank points at one time would be risky.

Well, that's easy for you to say in hindsight, but I really thought the scotch tape was going to work, and now if I even tap the case it starts to fall off. I think the best plan for now is to leave my rank point container as it is, but prop it up from underneath with a big pile of Slim-Fast Meal Bar wrappers. Also, I will make everyone take off their shoes in the house so it doesn't make extra floor vibrations.
