I'm having a problem getting the roach to 1. I've read all the previous posts & they're not helping. I must be getting fouled up leaving the SE chamber. I've tried leading with the roach followed by the serpent and the serpent followed by the roach. Neither works. I suspect it has something to do with the down before up. Down where? Down when?

Just in case there's a misunderstanding. I have the free roach follow me into the western part of the SE chamber, outside the force arrow while I go into the eastern section to kill the eye & hit the orbs.

If this is wrong, then I'm really stymied. If I don't have the roach in tow, how can I keep it from hanging up on the force arrows while I proceed alone into the SE chamber?

No, the roach should not follow you into the SE chamber.

Its been like 2 and a half years since anyone has had trouble with this room, so this doesnt make me feel too smart.



I put the roach at 1 so that I can use the snake to keep the eye from getting trapped. I can then kill the snake using the eye, and can either kill the eye but then I have no free monsters to deal with the northwest snakes, or not kill the eye, but then I cant figure out how to open the door at 2.

Any hints?

You're not putting the roach in good spot. Use the snake to help you put it somewhere more helpful. You're right about the snake and the eye.

The roach belongs at (1) in this picture.

Thanks! I kept assuming that the snake would get stuck in the arrow... thats what happens when you assume things. Thank you! By the way, I keep thanking people when they give me help, but whats all this about Mod points i hear?
