So. I was running through this. Last night, I got to the last level, stumbled my way through all three paths (one of which nobody had recorded a score for) and then did one more run to beat the final boss.
And then I noticed a breakable wall behind him. But I had taken the north route and was locked into the tar baby form, so I couldn't go through to get the last secret.
Today, I did a run through the grapple path to get there. And this guy was waiting for me.

Damage preview says he'll do over 70k. I see why there are currently no scores for this.
There's a handbomb in the hold, but I need to use it up in order to get to this guy. (The pickaxe is protected by an invincible enemy and is needed to take either of the alternate routes which allow me to get here.) So as far as I can tell, I need to do some serious optimization.
Since nobody else has recorded this scorepoint on the leaderboard, I don't expect anyone to have particular advice on how to be in good shape for this fight. So I guess I'm making this thread asking for help with the optimization. I don't think I can do this just by running through the second half of the hold again and being more careful, not without a lot of iterations at least. (I'm pretty sure nothing in the first half affects the second half, except maybe getting shields prior to the bonus level.) If anyone has any advice for particular sections that will result in me having more health in the long run, I'm all ears.
