Okay, how the frell am I the first person to ask for help on this room?

I think I've solved it in theory, I need to get the swordsmen oscillating up and down by making them move in and out of blocking each other's shortest paths. But the execution seems like something out of a non-puzzle stalwart show in one of Chaco's post-mastery levels.

You've got the right idea, the execution just really is that precise.
I'm not sure how to insert a DROD Room image for a secret room (maybe I need CaravelNet?), so here's an abstract diagram in Google Drawings.
The lines among the squares trace out the approximate paths to carve out for the room, with lines in the dark grey squares being more specific. Both the stalwart and soldier are on the southern half of the pressure plates. If you need me to be any more specific, I can just send a picture of the room itself.
