The sequel to character behaviors, player behaviors are a way to alter how the player character interacts with things.

As the player is more complex than scripted characters, there are five possible settings for a player behavior:

Default - The equivalent to "As player role" for shallow water traversal, in most cases setting a behavior to default means it is determined by the player role. Unless changed, all player behaviors have this setting.

On - The behavior is active at all times. Give a wraithwing a weapon, or make roaches heavy enough to drop trapdoors.

Off - The behavior is inactive at all times. Take away the player's abilities for fun or Metroidvania reasons.

Powered - The behavior is active after the player touches a power token. Much like tunnel and potion access, but broader.

Unpowered - The behavior is active until the player touches a power token. Slightly strange when taking away positive behaviors.

Like other player properties that are changed by script commands, player behavior changes persist between rooms.

As with character behaviors, there are many possible player behaviors that can be configured. This includes if certain types of damage harm the player, room interactions, and more estoric interactions such as if the player changes direction when moving.
