×We feel like we know pretty much where to put the gel babies at: (19,11) for N, (26,14) for E, (19,20) for S, and (11,17) for W. Nowhere else lets us block off the gel baby from moving inside yet can also block a roach as needed. We could be wrong, but we get the gist of "put a gel baby on all 4 sides of the walls to block a roach".

We get the feeling we're meant to finish setting up by dragging a gel baby in from the NE and coming in from the NW. But in trying to work backwards from there, nothing lets us set up for the E or S sides before working on the N or W sides. Any attempts to do that either pre-emptively move something out of the way for N (making basically everything moot) or require a gel baby to be slain (obviously impossible).

×For the E side in specific, getting the gel baby there outright would require us to lead one to a corner first and then wrap it around; something that expressly forbids further wrangling the gel baby in question (yes, even parking it in a corner midway wouldn't work). Ergo, at some point we would need to give that up.

The W side is also pretty bad with this; on doing that, we would effectively be forced to do that side last... and the entrance is on the N side, with its own gel baby to deal with. Coming in from the E is especially a no-go because the trapdoor is just too far away and the gel baby is too close.

The only side we can think of where this tactic is overtly better than usual luring or whatever knot-tying we were trying to do is the S side... but even then, the orb is particularly southern, and to be able to run around the gel baby to lure it, we have to go there, so it only really works once.

Are we taking this suggestion of "just do it one at a time and lure them from the door to their positions" too literally? Is there something else we're not seeing? We're definitely overthinking it, but we're in the horrible position of probably overthinking about HOW we're overthinking it, exactly.

Also, uh, just as a confirmation; were our spots for the gel babies correct at all in the initial post?
