I wish I could say there was a logical way to go about this one. Sadly I ended up just copying uncopy's demo for it. I suspect I'll be doing that for most of the rooms in this level.
The start of the room isn't too bad. You need to get 4-wide columns of roaches for hitting the plates at (12,19) and (25,19), but you don't have to do them at the same time. The plates and trapdoors in row 12 got me the 4-wide row for the east side (including the plates that the roaches hit). Then after you hit the plate at (25,19) you can trigger the pressure plate at (18,18) to get a 4-wide row of roaches on the west side. you may need to do some juggling earlier on (like after you hit the initial set of plates) to make sure move order lines up to keep the row 3-wide before this.
At any rate, that part wasn't too horrible. The truly wretched part of this room was hitting the plates at (14,2) and (23,2) in the right order. You need to have the roaches lined up so that the one at the top of column 23 moves before the one in column 14, while the roach at the top of column 15 moves before the one at the top of column 22. How do you ensure this setup? Copy the architect's demo seems to be the best way to go about it.
