#3 I hope I receive a point for this. Even though can't perceive what is unique to TripleM's posts.

#5 So close again, but neither of your last 2 posts follow the rule.
The rule not mine but an ancient one - and i'm not following it :)

Off-game: Just before I made my #4 guess, I had typed a different #4 guess and right when I was clicking the "Send Reply" button, I realized that one of the crucial words in the guess was a homonym for the word I intended, and so the post made no sense (and was also sort of a giveaway). So, I immediately deleted it within half a second of posting it. I hope that is ok. If not, you may flog me now.

I'm allowed to guess the rule now right?

Yup. Though it was each sentence, but I think you realised that. Good enough.
Any chance of Erik doing the mod-stuff for the last two sets?

Coincidentally, I just got done pumping up your mod points, so go ahead and mod things right. Maurog should probably handle the modding for you as the winner of his game.

Oh, and I will go give mod points to bdcribbs if and when he decides to start a new game.

#1 For your first clue, consider this quotation: "I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency, even if I'm in a cabinet meeting." --Ronald Reagan

#3 Those first two clues where maybe too subtle, this one is definitely more obvious. Stumped? Astuteness is the key to understanding.

#3 I don't mean to solve it so quickly, but I believe I have the rule, or my name isn't Roj "Kleptomaniac" McGee. (not an exclusive or)

off-game: as soon as I see the score for this one

#4 I'm note sure what Roj McGee is postulating, but his #3 guess did not follow the rule. Maybe he didn't intend it too.

Off-game: EDIT, oops, I forgot the number, I didn't change anything else.

Off-game: I just noticed I accidentally typed "too" in my #4 post, when the correct word should be "to". I won't change it now, but I will tell you that it's an irrelevant typo.

Trivia: there are only 326 such words in the English language (according to the dictionary file installed on my computer).

The third clue helped a lot. :) But I'd seen a similar puzzle before. Probably in the puzzle tag thread somewhere :D

Ok, here's one.

#1 This time it is Mister Green in the library with the candlestick.

I changed the modpoints, and gave you your whole two point pot. You could have milked it for more points ;)

For the curious, the 326 words are: http://bryan.freeshell.org/consequtive.html

Off-game: Some of the words there are proper nouns, however, so although they are listed in the dictionary, they technically don't count as words in the language.

Off-game:
Sorry to be offgame again, but after reading about those 300 words I ran the EI and CIE thing on a dictionary file I have. There were a lot more (about 2000), but the interesting thing: only one word has both an EI and a CIE combination in it:

Oneiromancies.

Sound familiar? :thumbsup

#1 I like coffee and cheese.

Off-game: I didn't know Oneiromance was really a word until just now. And that list of 326 words is probably much shorter than it appears because it often has several entries for just one word (For example defend, defended, defender, defenders, defending, defends)
