Off topic: I think you're just not being reasonable here. I've seen way too many negative mods on the forum games board lately for "cheating", and jokes that were apparently badly interpreted. I'm not perfectly sure I got what's going on here either.

ya, it was the rule so i'll just have someone else start one instead of wasting mod points, and doom, he clearly went against the rule that you have to be cuaght up to ask and he gave away the rule

Oh, ok. It was just somewhat confusing when the reason of modding posts didn't seem to make any sense anymore. I never got it anyway: What's the point of the "You-have-to-be-caught-up-to-make-a-guess" -rule? Doesn't it only add more unnecessary guessing? (And increases the amount of mod points you have to throw around, which seems to have been a problem more than a few times already)

And Jason's edit, by the way, was made only one minute after the original post: It was most likely adding the #X in the beginning or fixing a typo or something like that (It's happened before, and no-one made much noise about it). Was there a reason to look at it so negatively?

i know that he changed it because i saw it before he edited it, and it didn't follow the rule at first, i modded it down because it didn't follow the invisible rule

Alright, that's perfectly fine. I just thought that only 1-minute difference wouldn't be anything special...

Wouldn't it make sense not to mod any posts at all after a guess has been made until it's been confirmed as true or false, though?

but the guess was invalid and according to the rules at that point in the game he can't make a guess

But at that point, that doesn't make a difference anymore. The round is pretty much over when someone guesses the correct rule, whether it's early or not. Is it a coincidence that every post after that guess followed the rule?

And no-one answered my earlier question about the point of that rule yet.

Of course, even if the rule wasn't figured out, it would be pretty hard not to follow it. How often do you use the apostrophe anyway?

On another note, how many mod points would someone recommend to chance starting another round?

I forgot about the 'caught up' rule, and was away for the weekend, so I couldn't get caught up and re-guess, sorry.

I'll remember next time.

The point of the rule seems to be to stop newcomers to the thread having a guess at the rule without having risked their fair share of points by making guesses.
