A strange little thing I found with the hard-coded 'Neather. (This thing is the current DROD-related phase I'm in.) In 1N the 'Neather runs away when the player steps on (6, 11), that's normal. What seems wrong is that after that, the "neathermad" sound will play on any turn where both of the following conditions are met:

A: The 'Neather is still in the room and,
B: The player is standing at (6, 11).

I'm pretty sure the sound is only supposed to play once, the first time the player steps on that square.

I just saw that this is labelled as an "official hold" bug, and I have to make some sort of disclaimer about that. It has nothing to do with the construction of the room, or the scripting of an NPC. It's something that exists in the behavior of a game element that's part of the DROD engine. It'll happen in any hold that uses the hard-coded 'Neather in a room to the 1N position.

While technically 'Neather IS a valid game element, it's only really used in one official hold, and any usage outside it is just for fun, if my memory serves me right.

I think it's still a bug worth fixing if someone can spare the 15 minutes required to do it. Heck, I can tackle it after I am done with the current feature :).
