General guidance for this type of thing (specific hints to follow) There's a technique for trapping a brained snake that comes up in a lot of different holds. It relies on the fact that a snake can't move diagonally, but a brained snake can pretty much be forced to make just about any shape with it's body by leading it around. You may be able to discover the trick on your own. Think of a particular arrangement that would be helpful, then try to see if you can make it happen.

× The idea is to make a diagonal passage using the snakes body that Beethro can pass through but the snake can't. Usually this means boxing yourself in a little rectangle made by the body. That will unbrain the snake for one thing, but you can also use the snakes body to force it where you want it to go after that. You can use this to cut the snake off and, say, force it to go into the tiny passage way leading to the brain so that it dies on a dead end. See next secret tag for an explicit way to do this:

×Try to get the setup in this image working. (or something similar). You can them move Beethro into the southwest box where the snake can't go. It'll be forced into the passageway.
