The roach will prefer to target whichever of Beethro and the timeclone is closer. If there's a tie, it prefers the timeclone.
×Wait near it with current Beethro while the timeclone moves away. If the distance is identical before either of them moves, the timeclone will be further and so current Beethro will draw the attention. Then wait for the timeclone to get close enough to attract it before moving with the current Beethro.

-Current Beethro moves next to timeclone in the desired direction
-Both Beethros turn their swords. So if the roach is to the south and you want to go east, both Beethros are facing southwest.
After this, if you move east, the roach will be blocked both north and northeast due to the swords, so it moves east.
As hinted above, the final stretch requires a different tactic.
Of course, this all has to be planned in advance, but the key is figuring out where you want the roach to be and moving the timeclone accordingly. Just wait around for a long while at the times when you want the future Beethro to move somewhere.
