I've been hitting my head against this room for a few hours with no luck. Is there anyone who's completed it and can offer some overall strategy?

I'm in the same boat as you.

There's really not much of a way to make any progress in the corners, as the wubbas will trap you. The only thing I can possibly brainstorm is some kind of clever WW/golem corpse arrangement allowing you to strike at the queens and then escape.

The only CNet players to complete this room appear to be Rabscuttle, wallu, CuriousShyRabbit, and Stefan and (I think) they haven't been active for some time.

Managed it.

Process:
-Clear out as many monsters as possible.
-Once that's done, you want a setup where the roach queen's spawn block both oncoming roaches and your guardian wubbas, while your sword is facing north so you can kill her immediately after spawn.
-Now go towards the rest of the queens. Your wubbas should keep you relatively safe. I had a troublesome roach to deal with, but luckily with almost all the other monsters gone I was able to take it out.
-Clean up any remaining monsters, probably including the last wraithwing.
