I know this is supposed to be Just for Pearls, but I tried it anyway and it was very fun. A couple of questions.

1) In the last room, is there a reason that the trap door at (18,17) does not have a timer thing? I treated it as a 60 second trap door in my solution.

2) Are you planning to expand on this If not, are others welcome to use these in their own user made holds? It's a very interesting mechanic.

Yes, it's a red herring to catch overzealous players who might want to drop it beforehand to have less things to drop later on.
