icon Beethro's map (+1)
Sometimes, when I play the game, I will complete almost all of the rooms. When I am playing a large level, and I finish what I thought was the last room, I find that I have not completed them all. I think that it would be nice to be able to click on the beethro's mini map and have a large version that shows all of the rooms that I have been in... basically, just like the small map, but show the entire map as a whole. I don't think that it should show rooms that the player has not been in... just the rooms that you have entered. Still the same rules apply (Red when not complete and White when completed). Maybe have an outline around the actual room that you are in at that time.

See this thread.

Similar idea already suggested before.

I usually go to the Restore-screen if I want to see a bigger map (or if I'm searching for unfinished rooms and paths to them).

I've put this into the next DROD version.

Or search the forums.

1. There will be a large map viewable by clicking on the minimap.
2. There may have been the scroll text loss bug fixed, I think.
3. The graphics will be nifty.
4. There will be some new monsters (as if you didn't know).
5. There will almost definitely be black gates.
6. The flow will not be in it.
7. The graphics will not be based on StyleXTiles.bmp files
8. There will obviously be a new dungeon.
9. The editor has been updated to eliminate some bugs, if I remember correctly.

Would it be possible to put the 'neather in a architect future version? You would be able to make your own puzzles with the 'neather.

I'm sure that the development team has already said no to this simply because the Neather's moves are too complicated to be put in an editor.

The team said a while ago that they didn't like the prospect of allowing anything like the 'Neather in the editor, because it would involve scripting, and that was a little too complex for the likes of the DROD editor.

Quote from the non programmed neather thread.
Mattcrampy wrote
The 'Neather was designed basically as a cool capper to King Dugan's Dungeon, kind of like a boss. The impact of it is severely weakened if he can just be dropped in anywhere.

That's not to say you won't be able to make Neather-type rooms, it's just that we'd prefer something with a bit more versatility to it.
Does that mean that we'll be able to make something like that?

It doesn't mean that. Nor does it mean you won't be able to. When it comes out, then everyone can discover all the things they can and can't do.

This reminds me of the old days of the "Spying on Caravel" thread, until Erik got some hitmen over to Joker's house. Or something like that, anyways. ;)

Except people discovered that I just can't shut my big gob. So it's not really Caravel you're spying on, it's me.

So this is why I have trouble sleeping.

*voices from the dead*

Joker is alive and well... we didn't like him so we sent him back. He also took the ghost of Ye Olde Projecte, something he called "Beneath Simple Earth".

*end transmission*

*cough* I was tossed in a river afterwards... anyway you should keep posting bugs and so forth on sourceforge so I can keep reading them. I get my kicks sorthing through your garbage.

Wait a minute...

Yeah, normally when I decide that my underwear's too old and has to go, I don't bother washing it first. I've only just realised the additional deterrent effect it has on people going through my rubbish.

The guard underwear was fierce but I defeated it. Never mind the missing arm, that's only a flesh wound.

Now, what's this about "Beneath Simple Earth"?

Was it a sequel to DROD that got scrapped? Was it a sequel that got accidentally deleted? Did it become JtRH?

Am I too full of questions for my own good?
