I know it's not much, but I would like to see:

red for wraithwings and goblins
yellow sludge for roaches and rqueens, perhaps spiders.
some kind grey stuff for eyes, possibly...
tar already has blue, that's ok.

Anyway, I think anything making roaches more disgusting should be in.

Hmmm... Perhaps it should be made an option if it is implemented. I would never have started playing DROD if it was gory.

Different colours I don't mind, but again it should probably be an option.

Technically, the blood is actually drawn as spherical blobs that collide with the walls elastically, as if they were solid balls in a low friction and zero gravity situation, instead of highly sticky liquid droplets (blood wouldn't normally behave like it does in DROD). You don't see blood actually as a liquid, either spewing from the monster, or covering anything afterwards, since it disappears soon after it was formed and doesn't splatter. I don't think the blood actually looks like real blood, although it does imply that it is. Why do you find it gory?
