Here it is: the mod you've all been waiting for! Or at last the mod I hope someone has been waiting for, because I've spent waaay too much time on it. Everything found in GeneralTiles in AE has been painstakingly resized for use in TSS. I recommend using this mod with Jutt and Timo006's excellent AE styles for 3.0+, which can be found here. (Can we get that page updated, by the way? jsmith45 only made the .dmf file, not the actual graphics.)

Please note: only elements found in DROD: AE are included, with one exception. I did make color shifted versions of the open yellow door graphic to be used for open red, blue, and green doors, as there was no way to make them disappear completely when open.

The archive includes full instructions, as well as a new GameScreen.png, resized and slightly modified from the AE version.

I'm hardly a graphical expert, so I make no promises about the quality of these files. Use at your own risk.

Wow! That's really cool. I feel like I'm in VGA heaven :)

Looking at that image makes me feel really nostalgic.

Is it possible to say there is such a thing as retro DROD?

The AE style mod? No, that was Jutt and Timo006. I only worked on the graphics in this pack.

I've attached a new version to the first post and updated the screenshot. I made some changes to the serpent graphics because the pieces didn't seem to fit together particularly well. I also made the roach antennae thinner and made a couple of other minor fixes. The only thing I'm not particularly happy with is the invisible Beethro/decoy tiles, but I don't know how to make them look better.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it before, but this mod also replaces Citizen 1 with the 'Neather, so Level 25 of KDD looks the way it's supposed to.
