When using a "Build" command to build a powder keg on top of a fuse, that fuse gets destoyed. The same goes for building a fuse on a tile where a powder keg is. This might be intended, but since you can build both items on top of each other in the editor, I thought it might be a bug.

(I'm totally not just assuming this is a bug because it slightly breaks a script of mine, of course)

Question: Build command uses "Plot" function which is the go-to operation that's used by almost everything in the game to make changes to room tiles. The only way to change this behavior would require modifying this one function.

This means it'd affect anything else that uses the same logic, and if we make this change I think it'd be sensible to extend it to mirrors and all T-layer coverable items (fuse, scrolls and tokens).

I'd very much like to change this, I don't think it makes sense the way it works right now, but I worry about how much this could break. Can someone who played more holds than I and is better with all the intricacies of the game's interactions tell me what to expect? Worst case I can just make the change and spider will later tell us how much is ducked up.

For the record, FWIW, I'm not against making these functional changes either as long as it doesn't break a lot of stuff.

And a modification posted, PR.

Now building TCovering tiles on TCoverable ones and the other way around should work correctly.

Can confirm in 5.1.1.alpha.2020-10-16 that building kegs and mirrors on fuses, tokens and scrolls does not delete the underlying item.

Can also confirm building fuses on the same tile as a mirror or keg works correctly. It is not possible to build tokens or scrolls in the editor, so I could not check those.
