See attached hold for a demonstration.

Take any serpent weighing down any pressure plate, and have an active fire trap in front of its head. When the serpent is killed by the fire trap, the plates remain held down for an additional turn.

Contrast this with a similar setup, but this time have a bomb or powder keg kill the serpent at its head. The plates are released at the same turn as its death - this makes more sense.

This behaviour could, in fact, make sense if checking for pressure plates no longer being depressed happens before fire traps are activated.

Even if the fire trap is already active before the serpent moves onto it?

Fire traps activate every turn in the end phase, they aren't persistent.

Actually this is a pretty problematic thing which could lead to a chain of weird events if changed.

Currently the order is:
- Depress pressure plates
- Run fire traps

The reason is that depressing a pressure plate can change the fire trap's state.

We could make it that it is more like:
1. Depress pressure plates
2. Run fire traps
3. If a multi-segment monster was killed, depress plates
4. If a fire trap state was changed, go back to #3

Which could lead to a situation where you can kill multiple serpents in a chain, like:
1. Fire trap kills serpent A
2. The pressure plate previously held by serpent A fires a trap which kills serpent B
3. The pressure plate previously held by serpent b fires a trap which kills serpent C
4. The pressure plate previously held by serpent C fires a trap which kills serpent D
5. The pressure plate previously held by serpent D fires a trap which kills serpent E
6. The pressure plate previously held by serpent E fires a trap which kills serpent F

So as weird as it is right now I think it should stay as it is. Unless someone disagrees and has a better idea, I am closing this as not a bug.
