I was trying out a few of the challenges for KDD 5.0, so I imported
my existing progress in KDD, and viewed the challenge list.

I see locations listed for challenges that are in parts of the
hold I've already completed.

Example: "Only Strike this orb once" in third Level 1S1W, this
one is Gray, so I'll go look.

So I restore to that room: Inadvertently I restore to a room conquered state, go read the challenge, strike the orb and exit,
and DROD thinks I did it.

My expectation is that I would be forced to reconquer the room.

The reason for this is that the restore does not hold the full state of a room at a given moment - it stores the starting position and the sequence of moves you've made to get to this point in time. It just happened that this sequence of moves included getting the achievement. Not a bug.
