If you enter the room all the way to the east with your sword facing southeast, striking the orb as soon as you enter, and clear the room you complete the challenge as well. The challenge is to clear the room without striking the orb. Demo included.

I've fixed this in TSS version 5.1 by failing the challenge if the corresponding door is open, instead of checking for the orb to be hit.
