This has been going on since 2.0, when speech was first implemented, but it happens now with the latest patch with TSS as well.

When you clear a room and someone is speaking at the same time, they will play their "happy" face rather than the face defined by the script.

I think it makes much more sense to prioritize speech mood, narratively - if Beethro displays a specific emotion while talking it's sensible to not suddenly become happy just because green gates fell down.

Can confirm this works in 5.1.1.alpha.2020-10-16. I tried both Beethro and Halph talking in the room while clearing it and neither of them seemed happy about the fact.
