If three vertically-aligned darts are over the pit when the orb is struck, they harmlessly enter the adders' tails. If the darts are one turn earlier, they hit the yellow doors.

It seems that's doomed to failure, because the darts flying horizontally will always arrive too late. The clone firing at the orb has to turn and then fire again, and there's no way to teleport closer.
