Switching between clones uses an undo slot (+1)
So in 5.0, switching to a new clone is "a move", according to the undo system anyway. Pressing undo will undo the switch. As switching doesn't cost a turn, this is useless, and wastes your undo slots. In 4.0, pressing undo would undo the last actual move you made, however many times you had switched since then. This was much more sensible. Unintentional change?
Also... In 4.0, switching to a new clone made the swirly effect but didn't make a sound. In 5.0, it plays the "drunk a potion" sound whenever you switch, which can be rather annoying in rooms where you have to switch a lot. Was the sound added on purpose? If so, perhaps a more "low-key" sound could be found instead?
