×With the first iteration, you can stand under the western eyes. That way, when your second iteration crosses the line of sight, the eyes will be attracted to the first iteration. With some jostling, you can get all of them away from the trap.

×after I have had Beethro 1 and 2 stab their eyes (in the NE area) simultaneously, and I hit TAB to launch Beethro 3 (and then 4), I find that #2 does not move to stab on the proper turn, as he did before (the other three are fine and simultaneous). I know that interfering with an iteration's movement can alter his positioning from then on; but he still ought to (try to) move on the same turn-count as before, right? And for a number of turns beforehand, #2 is standing on the correct preparatory square, sword positioned correctly and all. Oughtn't he to make his move on the same turn as before?

Well, look for secret walls in the room to the North. There is a passage from 3N1W through this room towards the secret room 2N2W
