Upon reflection:

I'd rather not people write anything just yet about editing level graphics. It seems like an awful waste of time and effort when these details will change for JtRH.

I'm hoping that this isn't as bad as it seems, but hey! I doubt that they'd completly shut out the modding community. I may be wrong, however...
The current AT on graphical mods is okay, but I may 'revision' it with gamer's help so that come JtRH the details are still accurate. Either that or make editor notes saying what's changed, but that's a copout.
I all of the sudden feel very happy that I've won myself a copy of JtRH.:) I have the AT saved on my hard drive, so I'll just either add a section to it or work it in already.

As for wackhead's latest comment, I would suggest waiting for it to actually be released for the modding community to start going full-force into it. We should give the people some time to appreciate and bask in the new graphics before we start "trashing and replacing" them. We still have 1.6 for all our modding needs.

Well, a vast amount of code is still open-source on JtRH, so all a modder has to do is go through the guts and figure out how things work. I do trust the code is well commented...

It all depends on whether or not the tilesets are included in the commercial part or the open-source release. If the former is true, then there will need to be strict permission from the owner (Erik) on how you would make and distribute it. If the latter is true, then there won't be a lot of worries.

P.S. - I found a larger version of my avatar.....ain't it cool?

Let me clarify: I'm concerned because the technical details won't be accurate. Modding will still be possible.

We'll have to get back to you on modding the pay portion of JtRH's grpahics, but I expect, like most things so far, we're not going to be meanyheads about it.

Matt
