×The monster won't stay defeated unless you burn his corpse and scatter the ashes. Go to the graveyard, be prepared to face 2 or 3 ghouls, and then you'll see the monster rise from his grave. Dig up his grave (shovel is sold by Sigrun in Murnavigir), burn the body with a tinderbox (if you haven't gotten one from the jail, one of the ghouls should be carrying one), collect the ashes in the vase (also sold by Sigrun), take them to the frozen shore, and click the vase on the sky to scatter the ashes. Alternatively, if you're a sorceress, you can burn the corpse with fire aura and scatter the ashes with arctic wind.
