Hi! I would love to record and publish a Let's Play series of Heroine Quest, and maybe other games done by Crystal Shard Games. I would like to know if developers are fine with that, and if you are, I would like to know also, if you are fine with monetizing these videos?

Let's Play videos are totally fine by us! There are three series that are in progress right now (2 warriors, 1 mage) so a rogue let's play would be nice. Also, so far these are fairly beginner videos. I believe these are all first play-throughs so, a more expert level let's play (i.e. playing a warrior on a paladin track or playing to get full points) would do well.

Regarding monetizing, how would you do that? Can you elaborate?

When you monetize your videos on YouTube, you get some revenue from ads that are placed on the video (at the beginning or the end, you can also place ads in the middle of the videos but that is just nasty). Usually indie developers are fine with that, because they get theirs game out there for free, but I'm always asking for permission first, to be sure.

We are indeed fine with that, but if you make money off the videos of our game, we kindly request that you make a reasonable donation to us and/or to the charity of your choice. That's only fair, after all.
