As a rogue, I recently found Regin's brother's hidden treasure chest, decided to keep it, and then went back to Regin to show him I had killed his brother. However, when I try handing the chest to Regin, he says "oh, how clever. you sold that to me earlier".

This is the same message he says when you try giving him back the red gem you had previously sold to him and then stolen back from him. I had stolen the red gem back, but I had been carrying it around.

I think this means I've bugged out his recommendation.

I have the same issue, except I never sold Regin anything.

Could it be that I previously stole the reward he was going to give in exchange for the chest?

I think this bug might be caused by stealing Regin's Figurine before returning his chest.
