I bumped into Regin in Munargavir late at night once, but can never seem to find him during the day. Am I missing somewhere obvious that he visits each day? He doesn't seem to be in any of the buildings in Munargavir, including the library (despite someone saying he often visits there - other than the librarian I just find Liff in there sometimes).

He spends a lot of time in the house from where you enter the thief's hideout. He can usually be found in the library (second floor) and I've seen him eating a couple of times in the inn.

Ah. I'm guessing that must be one of the three doors at the upper left, but as a warrior it appears I'm unable to get in there at all.

It's the one in the middle. You need to advance in the storyline to be able to enter. Go to the inn and sleep, a thief will sneak into the room and steal your stuff.

After that go to the library for help, you'll have to do a few tasks but those should be easy.

At least that's what worked for me.

Hm, already done all that a long time ago - must be something else that triggers it.

edit - ah, of course, that's how I was meant to use the cloth. Why didn't I think of that earlier

Feels like this may be a bug, perhaps I had to do it in an earlier chapter.

For what it's worth, the thief never stole anything from me since I had nothing in the chest.. maybe for that reason the game things I've already retrieved things. Looks like I'll need to start all over again

Edit again - definitely a bug. I had one save from before I rescued Heime, and showing the dog the cloth there works. But not in my most recent save quite a bit later on.

He's an elf, so he's only up at night.
