A short-medium length hold containing puzzles based around two custom scripted monsters.
The puzzles start out easy, then become more difficult as you get more used to the new monsters.
There's also a little bit of story to tie it all together.

Enjoyed the monsters and the optional challenges! :thumbsup

Was hoping for some more earth golem rooms but oh well.

How does the monster move exactly?
my rough understanding is that it moves if Gunthro is between the monster and the sword, more or less. But actually, it seems it's more complicated.

Conquered this hold a while ago, but never got around to writing a review. This is a really nice hold! Even though as far as I can tell a lot of code has been scripted in 3.x, it shows the amazing capabilities the 4.x engine provides for creating custom monsters if done properly. I'm still looking forward to further improvements of the scripting engine in TSS, but a lot of stuff is obviously already possible.

Beside of the very well executed scripting, it might be even more noteworthy that the custom game elements in this hold contain quite a bit of puzzle potential. Both the crabs and the swords were a lot of fun to play with. The puzzles were nicely done; each of the game elements had enough introduction rooms to get used to them but still a few challenging puzzles.

My point of criticism is how anti-climatic the hold is. Research Archives contains some interessting puzzle elements that are however never really elaborated, and Mineral Deposit is just empty, which might be intended, but it looks kind of bland.

Still, a very enjoyable hold and definitely recommendable. 6 brains, 8 fun. :)
