Hello everyone.
After I built some random puzzles using new DroD elements I felt nostalgic (due to the history month contest and some old holds I played) so I started using old elements too. I came out with many random puzzles which uses old and new elements so I decided to put all of them in a hold composed by 4 levels, every level uses AE's elements, JTRH's elements, TCB's elements and GatEB's elements.
There is no story, it's only a package of (hopefully) challenging and fun puzzles.
The hold is complete, I won't add any rooms so it only need to be tested.

Arch Ed: Entr- After getting the mimic potion beethro is locked in by closed doors that i don't think anything opens making the room impossible, right?

Tunnel in GAETB: 3S is facing the wrong way, so access, so 3S1W cannot be reached.

Well definitely not :) I thought it wasn't possible to kill the slayer, I changed it now thanks! it should be fine.

Ok, at least I can't kill slayer that easy now.

Attached two demos:

1. A different approach to 2S 1W (but I still don't touch orb at 33,13, so I suspect it's unintended).

2. I threw in a demo for 1W which I believe isn't completely intended as well.

Actually this is pretty much the intended solution only that I killed the golems at (34,3) and (35,1) so I don't think I'll change it, if the lynchpin is the same I don't care too much on how a player does it :) But thanks!

Allright, then! At least I know which one you intended now. ;)


Here's the solution similar to the very first one. I spent ages trying to pull it off. I recommend watching the demo on fast speed, especially in the end, where I waste a lot of moves before finally getting slayer out of the way. (EDIT: attachment removed)

My solution for 2S 1W isn't really clever or anything. It's notable for making slayer do crazy stuff, though.
Feel free to fix it (if you find a way, that is)... I'll surely use similar trick in one of my own rooms O:-
(just kidding... or am I?)

I'm done through all JtRH rooms now (still didn't replay 1W, though - but that will have to wait, as it's time for me to have some sleep)

Yes that's not the intended solution. This is the room I spent more time in it and I was pretty sure it had some US, as you said the most obvious approach worked. I changed the room, revomed a bomb and modified a bit the layout so now it should be fine. I'm also attaching a demo with the intended solution.

2S: Useless? Didn't you use it to let the tarstuff grow beneath her and switch the black door for the second time?

no, why? I have tarstuff mothers near eastern bomb for that.

1S1W: definitely broke it, but now it should be fixed.
1E: Once again I felt insecure on deleting this cool US but I did. The intended solution is to let tar grow up to the force arrow to prevent the stalwart to go in there. Now it should work fine.

Oh, really? Golem still serves no purpose and I kill it almost instantly. But at least rattlesnake is needed now.

For 1W, I probably could come up with suggestions for making script work better, but the best suggestion I can give is not to use scripting at all. You can do a puzzle like that without scripting. Generally, I'd avoid using scripting in puzzles unless you really, really need it, especially if you're not very comfortable with it.

And yes, I know the room is possible and I am aware of the trick you use; I didn't want to play it because of badly explained scripting. By the way, it has unintended solution: since you provided an aumtlich, I can get one of soldiers to kill other one. That's simpler than what you want player to do. (when I first looked at the room, I thought that this was the intended solution)
