As stated before, but now with 42% less confusion:

Change Player --> Import, with selection of a merge-file (same player name already in the list), fails to load properly.

I have been able to get GatEB to import properly on the initial import. I also have found a trick which merges a player file: I close GatEB, then double-click the player file (associated with GatEB), which then starts up and loads it correctly. Importing it by selecting the file from within GatEB does nothing, in comparison.

I don't know why this is the case, but the fact that you can "backdoor in" a solution suggests to me flow of control is missing something in one case it gets in the other.

Tests are on Windows 7.
