When you create a scroll or enter a level or hold description, in the text input box, if you move the cursor to the left edge of the box on any line below the first one, pressing space has no apparent effect. Once you have done this, however, if you go to the previous line and type something in to cause the text to overflow onto the next line, the text should overflow, but the hidden space characters should suddenly appear.

The space characters seem to be visible when you read the scroll, whether visible or not in the input box.
