I wanted to play today, so when I clicked "DROD: Architect's Edition", it came up with "Who are you?" as normal, but when I pressed "Continue" the game just crashed. It does the same with pressing "Build" and "Restore". What could be the problem? I remember installing the Black/White mod, but I think WinZip corrupted that installation. I don't know why it isn't working... Everything seems to be in the folders...

Would that happen to be my whole mod thing? I'd guess that you are missing some files in your bitmap directory, as they are used in both Restore, Build, and Continue. Here's the list...all of these should be in your Bitmaps folder..

Just for fun too: try clicking on Where and Options to see if that works. Both of those are non-graphics dependent and could make sure that your 'dat' files are good. If I'm wrong, could someone swoop down and correct me. Hope this helps!

I loaded your dats into my normal DROD, and everything worked fine. You are probably missing one of the files listed above. If you need a copy, juts let me know and I can send you it.

Oh - funny story - After I loaded your name and pressed continue. As I started playing, I went to press "Q" to change my sword direction, but it wouldn't do anything. I then went into a kind of panic mode pressing every button on my keyboard to figure out what was going on until I finally realized that Options would have it. Duh.

Ah yes, my .bmp style tiles seem to be missing. Also, I use A and Z.
Can someone post a copy of the .bmp tiles pleae? I really want to play DROD again. Thanks!

I don't have DROD on this computer or I would attach the files, but I'm sure someone will soon enough.

The reason I'm posting is to suggest to Mike and/or other devs that there should be some sort of style intergrity check so that if any files are missing from a style DROD will give an easy-to-understand error message so that whoever it happens to will know what's wrong and be able to fix it easily.

There you be. All *.bmp files used in DROD. Just unzip them to DROD\\Data\\Bitmaps.
