I found a "bug" (room design bug) that makes one of the later rooms on Journey to Rooted Hold very simple.

Level 19, 1N1E.

EDIT -- Removed attachment. Posted in Challenge forum. However, I do maintain this room has a design flaw. I will send my demo to whoever needs it upon request.

A problem in room design in a published or official hold--unless it's something that makes the room impossible, or creates a backtracking problem--isn't really a bug, per se.

And in this case--we're talking about the room with two rattlesnakes and a serpent? It's so minimalist that I'm dying to know what design flaw you think it has, especially since demos of under a hundred moves (and under 45 seconds) date back to 2006.

I couldn't figure out how to PM a file, so I decided I'd just upload it here and hope people don't "cheat" on the challenge.

I am fairly certain my method of solving this room would be construed as a design flaw. It is not a bug by the definition above, but it certainly poses very little challenge, renders the brain (which is the theme for the level) irrelevant, and seems more akin in difficulty to something that should be 10-15 levels ago. (That said, it appears my solution is also apparently somewhat obscure, so maybe it is properly placed after all. It seemed to me the most straightforward approach to solving the room, though...)

I lost my progress on JtRH but the "hide and kill" technique for snakes is possible in many places. I'm sorry I can't check your demo but that's what it sounds like.

Does your best result using this technique improve on the current scores?
