Puzzle Expedition is a US only game released in 2010, for the DS (Windows and iOS may also be available.) It's the latest version of Quadrax (1994), in fact the original developers have worked on this game. If you like DROD and Fish Fillets, you'll like this game.
If you have played Quadrax (or Fish Fillets), the idea in every level is to reach the exit together with both characters. Unlike Fish Fillets, both characters have the same abilities, like climbing a small height, pushing a stone block, and activating switches.
Later levels include elements like trapdoors, elevators, and blocks that disappear when they touch each other.
There are about 100 varied and challenging levels in this game, and due to the many elements every level feels different.
The game is not easy, and I'd say the difficulty ramps up pretty fast, and is about 7/8 brains in DROD terms. It's likely that you get stuck pretty often. Fortunately you have 3 level skips that you can use each game, that means that you can skip a level you don't like. You might need them as the difficulty in the levels are a fluctuating, sometimes you get a hard level, and sometimes whether something is a shortcut or perhaps they didn't tested the level properly.
There are no undo options in the game, instead you have 3 quicksaves in each level. Note that the saves location can sometime be changed, so watch out when you're trying to restore them.
To reiterate, yes, this game has some problems with some of its levels, but overall, it's a great game if you're a hardcore puzzler, and you liked and finished both DROD and Fish Fillets. It's not as good as those 2 games, but it's very close.
PS. Links will be added here after I've updated my original Quadrax thread.
