So, uh, I played this...

I got through everything except for 3S1W, which I ran through without solving. Maybe another day when I have more time.

There are some easy rooms here, and some tougher challenges, and some rooms which struck me as just plain lazy. This would be a better hold if you pulled out the lazy rooms and left puzzles that require some sort of strategy (whether easy or hard) to solve.

Backtracking problem in 3S1E.

ok.
3s1w no biggy. just put your mind to it. it takes me five or more tries each time to do it again.
3s1e resolved backtrack
1s you know you can ctrl-w thru it
2s dont you need the fegundo to open up the briar?
3s treat this as an animated scene. punish without sweat
3s1w i locked this and the next one. just kill the green ones first
4s1w yea the adder behavior is key here
9s war puzzles are foregiving
12s hmm. generaly you liked the rooms i thought tedious
13s green snakes are of great value to war type rooms. i discovered this lately
13s1e i forgot half! he is back in. now kill the briar

I played it again.

I did finish 3S1W this time. Solving 3S1W took me longer than the whole rest of the hold. (Maybe I did it wrong. I did get rid of the goblins and slayers first. But I may have lost too many mimics at the beginning.) I kind of liked being able to skip it.

3S1E - The backtracking problem is indeed gone.

2S - Yes, I do need to use the fegundo to destroy the tarstuff. That happens so quickly, the briar doesn't even come close to killing Beethro.

13S1E - This is a much better room with Halph in it.

6S - Did you just remove a brain from this room? The wubbas are now much easier to handle, which is a good thing.

Oh, and I'm assuming you're aware that there are two different solutions to the Entrance.

no you got me i fix the entrance. this trick could be used though for future puzzles. 6s has the brains now
thnks.
i with they had an optional wider sword or shots. this would really mean war. the scripting isnt powerful enough for making new characters. i could picture a two way sword in war rooms

Yes, it looks like you indeed fixed the Entrance.

Now I have to go into the wubba part when solving 6S.

And thanks for that extra mimic in 3S1W. I finished it much faster the second time around. Probably due to a combination of the extra mimic and also being more familiar with how the room works.

Your idea about the two-way sword made me think of the Chen character in Wonderquest. (He uses a two-way weapon.) I don't know how many people still play Wonderquest, but I believe it does have a level editor.

I once again enjoyed it!
The only issue I had was I needed to restore to do 3S1W from the E entrance. Once I had gone through (without completing it) to finish the hold to the south, I was not able to either complete the room from the south entrance, or travel from the S entrance to the east one.

I did not have to go in the center part in 6S.

Hi Zorglub,
It seems that khaim neglected to remove the old version of his hold when he changed that. 3S1W now has a green door, so you can't run through without conquering anymore. Thanks for testing!

Indded, I had taken the one at the top. I got the latest one, which seem quite different.
One immediate remark, why is 3S1W unrequired if I need to conquer it to continue with the hold?
I'll replay it all.

Or... you could wait a few days and then play it for highscores. This hold has made it through the HA process and will be promoted soon. :)
