Here's the first version of my new hold, the Jagged Edifice. Progress has been slow, but I'm quite proud of what I've managed to do; I think I've swung over rather to the extreme end of the "quality, not quantity" spectrum. The emphasis here is on puzzles rather than action, and it's intended to be a more mellow, relaxing hold than my first.
About half of the first level and a couple rooms of the second are done. Privileges are anyone-edit, so feel free to take a look through.
This hold is a direct story sequel to the Oversight, but don't worry if it seems disconnected: I do plan to bridge the gap.
And please, someone tell me that Level 2, Entrance hasn't been done before.

I've completed everything except 1E on the first level, and it looks good so far. The only real problem I've found is that if you leave the second level entrance without killing all the roaches, then it becomes impossible.

I should enjoy this one, if only because the version number was my birthday. :)

I would like to try this hold however I decided a while ago that I would quit 'The Oversight' upon reaching you know, 'that really hard last room'. You combined two things in abundance which are the most absolutely infuriating elements of DROD to me. Heck, even the 'bury the stairs in tar' trick wasn't as maddening to me. Your hold was amazingly fun except for that room, I think it brought the whole thing down, since I never got to see the ending. Would anyone like to share the ending with me in a PM?

Heh, maybe I made that room too hard... Yes, I'll send you the ending. Thanks for playing my hold, though. :)

ok you've got me
I did 15 rooms on the first level
can't find any more but the blue door doesn't drop

if I take the stairs in the beer
I end up in a room with a blue door and no exit

so what have I missed?

Humm... Swann, I think you're in the wrong thread. I've got the feeling you're talking about the Standing stone hold. Anyway, you've missed one room. There are 16 of them.

MasonJason, I did finish the oversight. Unfortunately, it was the version with the end stair bug (I hope you've corrected it) and the only thing that keeps me from replaying it to get that nice little star next to the hold name is the thought of having to redo that dreaded final room. Once was enough. Mind you it was a challenging puzzle. You could maybe scale it down a bit.
