I'm seriously stuck.

For some reason the game took me to chapter 5 without my being able to open the door to the other kingdom on chapter 4.

I can't confirm it, but I'm pretty certain Chapter 5 only starts when you have found the door. This may very well be a bug. :unsure

My guess would be that you've made things harder on yourself by not finding some of the other things before advancing. However, one particular feature was put into the game to help you unstuck yourself if get stuck:
