I finished the tutorial, got bored, because my Tab key got sticky from all the sweat of pressing it sooooo many times. Jazz Jackrabbit for DROD would be cool. My advice: Make the gun have better attack, the room with all three tarstuff was annoying, really annoying.

Now that's a coincidence, I was contemplating using some Jazz music for my Gurenocalypse hold later on, simply because it's awesome stuff right there and this hold appears.

It makes me feel like digging up an old Games Compilation CD, blow off the dust and install Jazz Jackrabbit again.
@Fang you would probably have to get permission from the company (don't you just hate that?).

I don't even know if Epic Megagames still exist today. After all, Jazz Jackrabbit was a game made in 1994... And Red Alert was made by Westwood who don't exist anymore so anything can happen.

I'm only contemplating it for now. If that happens I probably won't be authorised to submit it to the Holds board once we can.

Keep in mind that most of the staff who worked in these studios now works somewhere else (if I am correct, Psygnosis in Sony, Westwood in EA, Epic Megagames in I don't know where).

Were I the music's authro I would surely give a permission for a tribute, especially a weird, DROD'ish one, the thing is that most of the time it's not the original authors who held the licenses, and believe it or not, there are lots of people who enjoy digging the internet in search of people to sue.

Well, anyway, I am now downloading the hold.

EDIT: Ok, played it. It's... Fine I guess. Mashing the Tab gets repetitive quickly. You could aim for puzzles where you have to move enemies in such a manner that they don't hit you and you can shoot them without getting hit.
