On the other hand, what need would signposts meet? If it were trivial to implement this and didn't add to code complexity (and hence maintainability), I'd probably say "
sure, why not,"
but when it comes down to human resource being used for this or some other feature, I feel more justification is warranted.
(Actually, come to think of it, I would probably need more justification anyway before I could get behind introducing an element that is largely redundant and would mostly just be one more thing for the player to learn when solving puzzles.)
