Jick accidentally set the primary database up the bomb.

As an extra bonus, the selfishness of all players becomes apparent. People are ranting all over the KoL forum about everything they've lost, having forgotten that it's a friggin' game and Jick really is a nice guy for creating it in the first place and fixing things to the best of his ability when stuff like this happens.

What fun! And the game is free, too. Nothing like righteous complaining over what you're owed in a free game!

Game on,

Actually, I'm mainly seeing a lot of 'Dude, Jick, it's okay.' I think one jackass made a thread and we've been shouting him down since it began.

By and large all that's being lost is stuff in gift packages and stuff in Hagnk's.

Hey...got two quick questions.

How do you get your fairy gravy to turn into a familiar?
Click here to view the secret text

second, has anyone else gotten their "epic weapon" for their class? I have the seal clubber wep, and it's Bjorn's hammer. very nice. :D

Myst epic weapons are useless.

Fairy Gravy needs to be cooked with a specific mushroom.

And, yeah, I've ascended five times now, I've made R&R Legends almost 4 times now.

yes yes...epic weps are useless for someone who ascended so many times. For me though (just a lowly noob), they're quite usefull. :D

No, they aren't.

I ascend hardcore oxy.

Hardcore. Oxygenarian.

R&R legends are a must as soon as you've done Accordion Thief, because you want Madrigal cheaply, and they make good starter Sauceror/Pastamancer weapons.

Disco Banjos are the best weapon you'll use for SOME TIME for disco bandits.

Turtleflinger and Bjorn's Hammer are useful for seal clubbers and turtle tamers.

so...I just now got my meatcar ( :lol ) and I went to the beach for the first time. So of course I adventured south of the border.

I gained:
1 questionable taco

I lost:
30 meat

However, I only had 17 meat to lose. AND when I ate the taco, I gained 5 adventures and some cat's tail (which is worth 50 meat). Sweet deal! :D

Well, my first thought would be that you're not using a 20lb+ stat familiar.

My second thought would be that you're not levelling in the highest areas you can adventure in efficiently.

Thirdly, do you have a maid? Dead guy's watch? You're clearly not speedrunning, so maybe you ought to go for a pagoda while you're at it.

I stopped playing the game a while ago...

One question: has the game changed significantly in last few months ? Does it have any staying power now ? It was very repetitive after a while - last time I checked.

What's the deal with ascension, by the way ? I only heard some rumors. And the website wasn't very informative.

...actually, the forums have a complete explanation, BUT.

Step 1: Defeat the Naughty Sorceress at level 11!

Step 2: Ascend!

This handy little thread here has it better than I could ever bother to say it.

Sure, if you trust me that far ... send a message with the items attached, and tell me what prices to try, and how long to wait before I just return the items in case they don't sell. (I don't want to just buy them outright because I'm currently Oxygenarian: if they don't sell, they're no use to me.)

My mall check a few minutes ago shows the cheapest spicies at 1000, and insanelies between 3000 and 3500. I have no idea whether anyone actually buys them at that price or whether people just roll their own and leave the mall items to rot ...

I'm Znirk (#266646) in KoL.

Nobody cares about burritos unless they're made with enchanted beans, I think, because of, you know, the side benefit.

They're worth a bit more than a million currently. You should wait for the prices to rise if you want to sell it.

The longer you sit on your time, the higher the price will rise.

As for meat AND stats, you want the Castle in the Sky, which you need about 156 moxie to dodge consistently.

Stats alone, well, the Hole in the Sky, which requires about 170 or so.

Meat alone, well, the Icy Peak, (the now one), which requires about 115 moxie to use, and cold resistance.

No. You can ascend any time after defeating the Naughty Sorceress. You need level 11 to begin the quest.

thanks for the reply

my moxie is 114 and adventuring at The Penultimate Fantasy Airship

i just need to avoid the stronger enemy.

my friend stocked up a few thousand of 10 leaf cover.
how much does each worth?

i thought seal clubber is easy to beat NS by reducing moxie and mys?
or is it bandit use moxious maneuver?

It is...unless you're a really, really high level. It's complicated.

114 is okay, but you need 129 to successfully dodge the mechamech every time.

The clovers are worth, at minimum, 1k each if you just use them in the treasury.

If you cook 'em into Lucky Surprise Eggs(I'll leave that as your little project), they're worth a few thousand more in the mall.
